Smoking and Covid-19: What You Need to Know
The scientific and medical community is just beginning to understand COVID-19 and the health implications of smoking or e-cigarette use. We do know that COVID-19 patients who smoke might be at higher risk for severe disease or death from COVID-19.
The overall goal of the Tobacco Free Florida AHEC Cessation Program is to strengthen the capacity of Florida’s healthcare system to deliver effective evidence-based tobacco use treatment, cessation, and prevention services throughout the state. The Program is evidence-based and uses the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Best Practices for Comprehensive Tobacco Control Programs.
Our classes are offered throughout the 14 counties of the Big Bend area.
