EXPERT LEAD EDUCATION SESSIONS!
Opioid Awareness Workshop
Our team brings expert-led education directly to your worksite, offering interactive sessions for healthcare students, healthcare professionals, and community members. We focus on understanding opioid use, recognizing the signs of an overdose, and learning practical ways to respond effectively.
Overdose Recognition Training
Participants will gain valuable knowledge on how to recognize someone who may be struggling with opioid use and how to potentially prevent an overdose from becoming fatal
Narcan (naloxone) Distribution
We provide FREE Narcan (naloxone) to all attendees aged 18 and older as part of our commitment to community safety. Narcan is a safe, easy-to-use over-the-counter medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose—and having it on hand could save someone’s life.
Quick Quide to Outsmarting Opioid Risks
Big Bend Area for Health Education Center provides vital information on how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and respond effectively, including step-by-step instructions on administering Narcan (naloxone). It will also offer resources on where to access naloxone, emergency contact guidance, and support services for individuals and families affected by opioid use.
