Big Bend Area Health Education Center

Big Bend Area Health Education Center (Big Bend AHEC) is a nationally recognized not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors who are local health care professionals, educators, community leaders and others who represent the health need of the communities we serve.
Big Bend AHEC is a member of the Florida AHEC Network, an affiliation of 10 locally governed AHEC’s and five AHEC Program Offices located at each of the Colleges of Medicine in Florida. Big Bend AHEC’s primary mission is to create community and academic partnerships to improve the health of medically underserved communities.
